We have many qualities that make us special, so we want to share with you those great details that have built our essence during these 9 years.
1. The first thing we have to tell you is that the origin of our name was inspired by an Arabic word that means "princess" and was created by Antuaneth's father after considering many possibilities; this was the one that connected with our origin and our ancestors.
2. This great dream was born in January 2013 in an artisanal way with our first products for friends and family: granolas , kale chips and dehydrated fruits.
3. Our essence was founded on mindful eating, and this led us to be the pioneers of the first artisanal, healthy granola in Colombia and the first to make kale chips. We have been a source of inspiration for many who have followed our dream.
4. Our first product was Almond Granola with Dried Fruits - it was a sensation! The fruits in the granola are characterized by their unique flavor, which is highlighted during the process.
5. The kitchen is the family's meeting point from morning till night. We are inspired by our Arab ancestors, carrying in our blood a love for food and cooking.
6. All our recipes are born in our home kitchen. Every flavor is first tested and approved by family members and then by friends. If they pass all the tests, they are taken to the factory to be released to the public and win hearts.
7. We were the first to talk about KALE and to bring Kale seeds from the United States to Colombia in 2013, we gave them to people who were starting organic farming in Colombia.
8. On August 30, 2019, our company was going to close, but the universe conspired in our favor with a new opportunity: our granolas were now available in large Éxito supermarkets and in Carulla.
9. One of Amira's main strengths is its support for Colombian products and farmers. We have always worked hand in hand with small-scale local farmers and associations.
10. We were turned away many times because our products did not last more than 6 months; unaware that some truly healthy products cannot last longer.
We continue with the same conviction, without changing the healthy philosophy of our products: All our products are handcrafted, using 100% natural ingredients - We do not use flavorings or essences, we sweeten with real honey , panela, yacon honey and stevia - We do not use sweeteners.
